X1 Wind es la empresa que lidera esta iniciativa, cuya fabricaci\u00f3n est\u00e1 siendo en Santander, y cuyo prototipo ser\u00e1 instalado y probado en oto\u00f1o en la zona de ensayos de la Plataforma Oce\u00e1nica de Canarias (Plocan).<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>PivotBuoy propone una soluci\u00f3n de amarre, conexi\u00f3n, instalaci\u00f3n y operaci\u00f3n de aerogeneradores marinos con la que pretende abaratar en un 50% el coste de generaci\u00f3n de la e\u00f3lica marina flotante. El proyecto recibir\u00e1 4 millones de euros de fondos de la Comisi\u00f3n Europea a trav\u00e9s del programa Horizonte 2020.<\/p>\n<p>La plataforma flotante PivotBuoy sostendr\u00e1 un aerogenerador Vestas V29 que ha sido adaptado ad hoc. La empresa Degima est\u00e1 llevando a cabo la fabricaci\u00f3n en Santander y, desde all\u00ed, el prototipo ser\u00e1 trasladado a Canarias, donde ser\u00e1 ensamblado en verano para su instalaci\u00f3n en oto\u00f1o. La instalaci\u00f3n quedar\u00e1 conectada a la sede terrestre de Plocan mediante un cable submarino, donde adem\u00e1s se validar\u00e1n otras innovaciones relacionadas con el montaje y la instalaci\u00f3n que tendr\u00edan importantes implicaciones para el sector.<\/p>\n<p>El consorcio del proyecto combina socios industriales con experiencia y organizaciones de investigaci\u00f3n y desarrollo de los sectores e\u00f3lico marino, naval y de petr\u00f3leo y gas. Est\u00e1 formado por nueve socios de seis pa\u00edses diferentes: X1 Wind, ESM, WavEC, PLOCAN, EDP, INTECSEA, DTU, DNV GL y DEGIMA. El proyecto fue lanzado oficialmente en abril de 2019, est\u00e1 previsto tenga una duraci\u00f3n de 36 meses, y cuenta tambi\u00e9n con la colaboraci\u00f3n de ABB y Core Marine.<\/p>\n<p>Este nuevo sistema de anclaje pretende reducir el peso de la plataforma hasta un 80% y los costes totales en un 50%, lo que har\u00eda que la e\u00f3lica flotante fuera competitiva. El objetivo del proyecto es validar las ventajas del sistema PivotBuoy y otras innovaciones clave para reducir los costes de instalaci\u00f3n, operaci\u00f3n y mantenimiento, abriendo camino para alcanzar 50 \u20ac\/MWh en parques e\u00f3licos a escala comercial.<\/p>\n<p>La tecnolog\u00eda, respaldada por EIT InnoEnergy, el motor de innovaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda sostenible de Europa, se podr\u00e1 instalar a una profundidad mayor de agua que la mayor\u00eda de soluciones flotantes actuales, abriendo cientos de emplazamientos que antes eran t\u00e9cnica o comercialmente inaccesibles. El sistema combina las ventajas de los sistemas de amarre por punto \u00fanico (SPM) con los de los sistemas de plataforma de cables en tensi\u00f3n (TLP \u2013 Tension-Leg Platform) y un dise\u00f1o estructural downwind (a sotavento) m\u00e1s eficiente, lo que permite una reducci\u00f3n radical del peso en las estructuras e\u00f3licas flotante respecto a los sistemas spar y semisumergibles actuales.<\/p>\n<p>Alex Raventos, CEO de X1 Wind, indica que \u201cen la \u00faltima d\u00e9cada, una serie de prototipos han demostrado con \u00e9xito que el viento flotante es t\u00e9cnicamente viable, pero los costes deben reducirse al menos en un 50%. Se requiere una tecnolog\u00eda disruptiva para lograr que la energ\u00eda e\u00f3lica marina a gran escala que sea competitiva.
