Esta instalaci\u00f3n cuenta con los aerogeneradores flotantes marinos m\u00e1s grandes del mundo -con una altura de 30 metros y una distancia de 50 metros entre cada una de sus columnas- y forman ya el primer parque e\u00f3lico flotante de Europa continental.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>La primera unidad del proyecto WindFloat Atlantic parti\u00f3 en octubre de 2019, la segunda en enero de 2020 y la tercera desde Ferrol hasta Viana do Castelo, con la instalaci\u00f3n del tercer y \u00faltimo m\u00f3dulo para que el parque alcance una potencia de 25 MW.<\/p>\n<p>WindFloat permite contar con los aerogeneradores m\u00e1s grandes del mundo disponibles comercialmente, el modelo V164 de 8,4 MW de MHI Vestas, lo que contribuye a incrementar la capacidad de generaci\u00f3n y reduce los costes.<\/p>\n<p>Las plataformas se han construido entre Espa\u00f1a y Portugal: dos de ellas en los astilleros de Set\u00fabal (Portugal) y la tercera en los astilleros de Avil\u00e9s y Ferrol (Espa\u00f1a).<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto supone despliegue comercial de la tecnolog\u00eda WindFloat, que se vale de la riqueza de recursos e\u00f3licos en emplazamientos marinos temporales y aguas profundas previamente inaccesibles. Esta instalaci\u00f3n permitir\u00e1 generar la suficiente energ\u00eda como para abastecer al equivalente a 60.000 usuarios al a\u00f1o.<\/p>\n<p>El transporte de las tres estructuras flotantes que componen el parque e\u00f3lico de Viana do Castelo es un hito en s\u00ed mismo, dado que evita la necesidad de contar con un buque de arrastre especializado. Esto, junto a la facilidad de anclado, hace replicable esta iniciativa en otras localizaciones y elimina los condicionantes geogr\u00e1ficos a la hora de acometer este tipo de infraestructuras, explican los promotores.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto ha tenido una inversi\u00f3n de alrededor de 125 millones de euros. Las empresas cuentan con una financiaci\u00f3n de 60 millones de euros del Banco Europeo de Inversiones, de 30 millones del programa NER 300 y con 6 millones del programa del fondo portugu\u00e9s para la reducci\u00f3n de emisiones de carbono.<\/p>\n<p>El proyecto pertenece al consorcio Windplus, que es propiedad conjunta de EDP Renov\u00e1veis (54,4%), Engie (25%), Repsol (19,4%) y Principle Power Inc. (1,2%). El proyecto WindFloat Atlantic est\u00e1 avalado por el \u00e9xito del prototipo WindFloat1.
